What our air conditioning service includes
After every visit you receive a service report recording what was checked, any recommendations and the condition of your system – useful for warranty claims and, for businesses, for your compliance records.
How often should air conditioning be serviced?
We recommend servicing domestic systems at least once a year, ideally in spring before the cooling season. Commercial systems, and those running heavily or in dusty environments, usually benefit from servicing every three to six months.
Between visits, cleaning or replacing filters every one to three months makes a noticeable difference to performance. Our guide to winter maintenance covers simple checks you can do yourself.
Planned maintenance for businesses
For offices, shops, restaurants and other commercial premises, a planned preventative maintenance contract takes the worry away. We schedule visits around your opening hours, keep detailed records for your files and give contract customers priority when an emergency repair is needed.
Energy-efficiency upgrades
If your system is getting older, we can assess its performance and recommend practical ways to improve efficiency – from better controls and scheduling to replacing an ageing unit with a modern inverter system that costs less to run. Read our tips on reducing your air conditioning bills.
Signs your air conditioning is overdue a service
- Rooms take longer to cool, or the unit runs constantly.
- A musty smell when the system starts.
- Water dripping from the indoor unit.
- Ice forming on pipework or the outdoor unit.
- Rattling, buzzing or new noises.
- Electricity bills creeping up without extra use.
Home servicing vs commercial maintenance contracts

One visit a year, ideally in spring. Covers cleaning, checks and a written report to keep your manufacturer warranty valid.
Planned preventative maintenance
Scheduled visits every three, four or six months for businesses, records for compliance, priority emergency response and refrigerant leak-check records where F-Gas regulations require them.
